Walking with individuals and families
The Good News is a joy for all people, but it is a special treasure for those who thirst for the fullness of life that is found in the communion of family and faith.
Our vision and mission represent a daring, innovative and constructive response to the pastoral challenges enunciated by the Final Report on the 2015 Synod on The Family when it indicates the need to set up “specialized counselling and mediation centers” in dioceses to promote “pastoral conversion and reconciliation (#79).” They are also inspired by the ambitious campaign that Pope Francis has articulated in Amoris Laetitia where he reminds us ‘not to forget that the Church’s task is often like that of a field hospital (AL Ch 8 #291).’
Working in partnership with the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate and in harmony with Bishop Mark Hagemoen of the Diocese of Saskatoon, we are committed to provide professional, confidential and respectful ministry to families who are in the process of separation and divorce. We also welcome the opportunity to provide information and support for people who are seeking an annulment.
Create a world where all separated and divorced people feel welcome in the church.
We accompany individuals and families in a non-judgmental posture that invites healing and transformation
as they navigate the experience of separation and divorce.
To honour the sacrament of marriage as a healing and restoring instrument of grace.
To provide a mediation service to people who are separating and divorcing.
To build bridges between the church and people who are separated and divorced through education and renewal.
To transform negative attitudes toward separated and divorced people through a ministry of accompaniment that respects the whole journey of healing.
